falsa mosca de los establos, es m\u00e1s grande que la mosca dom\u00e9stica, de unos 8 mil\u00edmetros de longitud y muy robusta. Rara vez viven en las ciudades. La distribuci\u00f3n de las especies Muscina, en su mayor parte, <em data-iceapw=\"2\">Muscina stabulans<\/em> es activa durante todo el a\u00f1o.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"cc-m-5964840711\" class=\"j-module n j-text \"><p data-iceapw=\"38\" data-iceapc=\"1\">Pero la actividad de la mosca tiende a alcanzar su punto m\u00e1ximo en los meses de verano, cuando el n\u00famero de ciclos de nuevas generaciones es alto.<\/p><p data-iceapw=\"38\" data-iceapc=\"1\">El h\u00e1bitat de la\u00a0<em data-iceapw=\"2\">M. stabulans<\/em> es similar al de la mosca dom\u00e9stica, en el alojamiento de los animales, tales como gallineros o galpones de aves de corral, as\u00ed como en el revestimiento de la mucosa de los intestinos de mam\u00edferos.<\/p><p align=\"left\" data-iceapw=\"24\">M. stabulans se puede encontrar en la carro\u00f1a en las etapas de descomposici\u00f3n, pero tienen una fuerte preferencia por las etapas posteriores de descomposici\u00f3n.<\/p><p data-iceapw=\"60\">Las antenas de la falsa mosca de los establos pueden detectar cuerpos enterrados. Una especie muy pr\u00f3xima,\u00a0<em data-iceapw=\"3\">Muscina assimilis (Fall\u00e9n)<\/em>,\u00a0<em data-iceapw=\"3\">Muscina levida (Harris),<\/em>\u00a0puede encontrarse tambi\u00e9n dentro y alrededor de las instalaciones de producci\u00f3n animal intensiva, pero se distingue por el color de sus patas, enteramente negras.<\/p><p align=\"left\" data-iceapw=\"27\">El t\u00f3rax es gris y consta de cuatro franjas longitudinales, y la punta posterior del escutelo (el l\u00f3bulo dorsal posterior del t\u00f3rax) es de color amarillo p\u00e1lido.<\/p><p align=\"left\" data-iceapw=\"11\">El abdomen es gris y negro, con aspecto de estar manchado.<\/p><p data-iceapw=\"36\">Su cabeza se extiende de un color gris oscuro a un tono blanquecino; esta mosca tiene las espiraculares (placas circulares) que se pueden encontrar separadas por aproximadamente la anchura de las placas en la zona posterior.<\/p><p data-iceapw=\"61\" data-iceapc=\"2\">La falsa mosca de los establos no succiona sangre y presenta unas piezas bucales del tipo esponjaste-succionante; se caracterizan por una prob\u00f3scide retr\u00e1ctil y una punta p\u00e1lida en el escutelo, como las de la mosca dom\u00e9stica com\u00fan, con unos palpos negros, en cambio, la <em data-iceapw=\"2\">M. pascuorum tiene<\/em> palpos rojos y es m\u00e1s grande que la <em data-iceapw=\"6\">M. stabulans y la M. levida.<\/em><\/p><p data-iceapw=\"39\" data-iceapc=\"1\"><em data-iceapw=\"2\">M. stabulans<\/em>\u00a0se presenta a veces bastante abundante en las instalaciones de producci\u00f3n animal intensiva, en especial en las granjas av\u00edcolas, donde cr\u00eda en el esti\u00e9rcol acumulado. Sin embargo, en conjunto, raramente resulta tan abundante como otras moscas afines.<\/p><p data-iceapw=\"55\">En las alas, la cuarta vena longitudinal (M1+2) no se curva y converge tan solo ligeramente en direcci\u00f3n a la que la precede; esta disposici\u00f3n es similar a la que observamos en la mosca de los establos y bastante distinta a la que presenta la mosca dom\u00e9stica, con son blancos, similares a los de la mosca dom\u00e9stica y depositados en peque\u00f1os lotes.<\/p><p>La mosca hembra adulta puede poner hasta 250 huevos, la hembra adulta mantiene los huevos en el interior del abdomen hasta que se forman todos, luego son depositados a trav\u00e9s de un ovipositor situado en el extremo posterior del abdomen.<\/p><p>Estos huevos son muy peque\u00f1os en tama\u00f1o. Las hembras adultas suelen elegir la materia en descomposici\u00f3n para poner los huevos. Estas \u00e1reas ricas en nutrientes son ideales para el crecimiento y el desarrollo de las larvas y la eclosi\u00f3n.
