#000000;\"><i>Candida albicans<\/i><\/span>. Afecta a todas las aves en todas sus edades, desde pollitos a adultos. Es una micosis aguda, subaguda o cr\u00f3nica, que se denomina:<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Superficial:<\/span> cuando afecta a piel y mucosas.\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Profunda:<\/span>\u00a0cuando involucra a las v\u00edsceras.<\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Organismo infectante:<\/span><\/h3><p>Diferentes especies del hongo Candida, de las cuales <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>Candida albicans<\/i><\/span>\u00a0es la m\u00e1s frecuente. Estos hongos tienen mol\u00e9culas de superficie que les permiten adherirse a los tejidos del hu\u00e9sped.<\/p><p>Esta adherencia es un factor de virulencia. Su funcionamiento como cadenas de c\u00e9lulas tubulares no ramificadas, denominadas seudohifas, en las que se observa gemaci\u00f3n de 2 a 4 micras.<\/p><p>Puede tambi\u00e9n producir hifas (son elementos filamentosos cil\u00edndricos caracter\u00edsticos de la mayor\u00eda de los hongos. Est\u00e1n constituidos por una fila de c\u00e9lulas alargadas envueltas por la pared celular que, reunidas, forman el micelio) verdaderas, tabicadas.<\/p><p>Es como el <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Aspergillus<\/span>, un hongo oportunista que se presenta en aquellos animales que tienen el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico comprometido.<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Los s\u00edntomas:<\/span><\/h3><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 podemos observar en las aves vivas?<\/span><\/p><p>En las m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes, se ponen inquietas, p\u00e1lidas, con plumaje desordenado y presentan un mal aspecto general. Las ponedoras en jaulas se vuelven obesas y an\u00e9micas.<\/p><p>Algunas presentan inflamaci\u00f3n en la cloaca, algo inducido por la diarrea, con incrustaciones blanquecinas en las plumas y la piel alrededor del \u00e1rea. En el consumo de alimento puede aumentar de 10 a 20 %.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Los s\u00edntomas que podemos observar en las aves muertas son:<\/span><\/p><p>El buche y el proventr\u00edculo tienen zonas blanquecinas engrosadas, que se describen como una toalla turca.<\/p><p>Se observa tambi\u00e9n erosi\u00f3n en la mucosa del proventr\u00edculo y la molleja, lo mismo que inflamaci\u00f3n de los intestinos.<\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">El diagn\u00f3stico:<\/span><\/h3><p>Se basa en la historia y las lesiones t\u00edpicas en el lote de aves. La confirmaci\u00f3n se obtiene con el aislamiento e identificaci\u00f3n de<em>\u00a0Candida albicans<\/em>\u00a0en el <span style=\"color: #000000;\">laboratorio.<\/span><\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Contagio:<\/span><\/h3><p>El hongo forma parte de la flora normal de la boca, piel, intestino y vagina. La enfermedad tiene habitualmente un origen end\u00f3geno.<\/p><p>La flora bacteriana normal de esas superficies mucocut\u00e1neas inhibe el crecimiento de C\u00e1ndida, por lo que la administraci\u00f3n de antibi\u00f3ticos de amplio espectro por largos per\u00edodos de tiempo o los cambios de pH facilitan la proliferaci\u00f3n del hongo.<\/p><p>La transmisi\u00f3n o contagio de esta enfermedad se produce por la ingesti\u00f3n del organismo causal en alimentos, agua o ambiente. Los recipientes para agua sucios son excelentes reservorios de la c\u00e1ndida.<\/p><p>Sin embargo, la enfermedad no se contagia directamente de un ave a otra.<\/p><p>El organismo crece especialmente bien en ma\u00edz, por lo que la infecci\u00f3n se puede introducir f\u00e1cilmente a trav\u00e9s de alimento mohoso.<\/p><p>Los problemas que produce esta enfermedad son p\u00e9rdida de productividad (carne, huevos), anemia, mortalidad baja.<\/p><p>Para prevenir esta enfermedad, se puede hacer con uso continuo de inhibidores de mohos en el alimento, manejo y almacenamiento correcto del alimento, limpieza e higienizaci\u00f3n diaria de los sistemas de suministro de agua, y remover o cambiar peri\u00f3dicamente el material h\u00famedo de cama para evitar que se compacte.<\/p><p>Un tratamiento econ\u00f3mico, pero muy efectivo, es el de tratar el agua, agregando cloro al agua de bebida, en la proporci\u00f3n de cinco partes por mill\u00f3n.<\/p><p>El control de esta enfermedad es el tratamiento de todo el lote con antimic\u00f3ticos que controlen la infecci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Hay muchos antibi\u00f3ticos de amplio espectro que pueden reforzar la enfermedad; por lo tanto, no deben utilizarse hasta que se haya controlado completamente esta condici\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Agregar al alimento nistatina o sulfato de cobre por siete a diez d\u00edas; debe controlar la moniliasis.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5989825 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5989825\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-20e41f9 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"20e41f9\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f76d511 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f76d511\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Bibliogr\u00e1fica:<\/p><p>MERCK &amp; CO.
