Print depicting different breeds of hens, Meyer, 1897

Precious prints of poultry:

Many times, when we found a prodigious book of poultry, y nos dejan maravillados esas hermosas láminas que representan las razas de gallinas, nos tenemos que fijar en la firma que su artista ha plasmado.

Regardless, the author of the book, always hired an artist of the era with reputation, to conduct the blades, which accounted for with a lot of fidelity, with the only model they had, that was the bird itself.

Hay que recordar que en aquellos tiempos no existía la fotografía, hasta más tarde, y era el único modo de que los lectores identificaran por las láminas las razas de gallinas, para su conocimiento, estudio y, claro está, para la compra de las mismas.

Here I will be putting the signatures of the artists, augmented, to recognize them, and then, following the link, you will see an extensive representation of sheets precious, of the same, in different collaborations they did with the authors of the books.

You will find several PDF with the slides for download in each section of the artist.
